Every Monday night Anchor Mission has a praise and worship service. Tonight my special guests are Dennis & Marilyn Snyder from Pine Bluff Arkansas. Come and be blessed by the anointed singing and teaching of God's Word. The service starts at 6:30pm. Anchor Mission is located at 802 Martin Luther Kind Dr. West Helena Arkamsas. Every one is invited.

October 2016

September was another awesome month at Anchor Mission. All of my beds are full. Men are checking in with drug and alcohol addictions and are getting clean and becoming free. Most of the men who stay with me are local men who do not have a place to live or they have an addiction problem. John 8:36 says "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed". Jesus is the only person who can make you free. A person who is addicted to alcohol and/or drugs must have a mind change. Once they start to think differently then they start to believe differently.

I have 2 ladies who are volunteering in my Thrift Shop. They are working hard to make changes so our shoppers can find the items they need. We have a good selection of men's, women's, and children's clothes. We help a lot of needy people every day with clothes, furniture, and household items. The Thrift Shop is just one way we use to support the operation of the Mission. Come by an shop with us. Donations come in every day. We have a good selection of items just looking for a home.

NEEDS of the Mission are prayer partners, monthly financial supporters, food items, paper products, a good used pickup truck, volunteers, a women's shelter, and a women and children shelter.

I teach a Life Skill class every Monday night at 7:00pm at the Mission. Everyone is welcome. Life Skills is a good way to study God's word and learn how God wants us to live. I am starting a new lesson next week called "The Real Deal."

I need your support. Thanks for your help in ministering to the men who are re-entering society God's way.

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to encourage fellowship and to celebrate God's healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. We are changed as we share our experiences, stengths, and hopes with one onother. In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace and forgiveness in solving our lifes problems.
BY Working through the principles, we grow spiritually, and we are freed from our, hang-ups, and habits. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with others and our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power, Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery meets at Faith outreach church 1430 springdale rd. Every thursday night at 6:00 pm. If you or anyone you know is suffering from any type of addiction please do not hesitate to join us. We are here for you.

Hey everyone don't forget about our car Wash. Tomorrow. Sat 17.At Anchor mission. There will be free hot dogs. Excepting donations for the car wash and while you wait you can check out our wide selection of inventory in our thrift shop. You can fill up a 30 gallon trash bag of clothes for 10$. Plus lots of other items.

Alright folks someone has donated a refrigerator this morning. Now we still need a dependle work truck. Come on community let's see what we can do.
