🍎⛪ Tomorrow is Regathering Sunday! ⛪🍎

There is something special about coming together again — familiar faces, new faces, children growing in faith, young people finding their place, and generations worshiping side by side. ❤️

We invite you to join us tomorrow at 10:30 AM at First Congregational Church of West Haven as we come together for worship, fellowship, community, and another season of growing together in faith.

Children, youth, young adults, families, adults, and seniors — there is a place for you here. Whether you have been part of our church for years, haven’t been to church in a while, or are simply looking for a place to belong, our doors are open and you are welcome.

🌟 There’s still time to join us! Youth Ministries is currently accepting registrations for Sunday School. We look forward to welcoming children and families as we grow together in faith. See our Youth Director, Kirsten Vargo, for registration information or to sign up.

💙A wonderful beginning for O.A.S.I.S. Senior Fellowship!💙

What a joy it was to welcome everyone to the very first gathering of our new O.A.S.I.S. Senior Fellowship at First Congregational Church of West Haven!

There were smiles, conversation, laughter, and new connections as we began what we hope will become a wonderful place of friendship and fellowship for seniors in our church and throughout our community. 💙

A special thank you to George and Irene McGaffin for helping bring O.A.S.I.S. to life and to everyone who joined us for this first gathering. We look forward to watching this new ministry grow!

O.A.S.I.S. is open to everyone ages 55 and older — you do not need to be a member of our church to join us. We would love to welcome you at a future gathering!

💜 Building Brain-Healthy Habits at First Congregational Church of West Haven 💜

What a wonderful evening of learning, conversation, and community!

A special thank you to Connor May from Seniors Helping Seniors, who also serves as a Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association, for presenting Building Brain-Healthy Habits and sharing such valuable information with everyone who joined us.

We were also grateful to welcome several community organizations who joined us with resource tables and information for our guests, including the West Haven Health Department, West Haven Senior Center/Elderly Services, Shoreline Wellness, Edward Jones, Seniors Helping Seniors, and the Riccio Team .

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions, visited our resource tables, and helped make this evening such a meaningful opportunity for education, connection, and community. 💜

Events like this are part of our commitment at First Congregational Church of West Haven to opening our doors and bringing helpful programs and resources to our neighbors.

Are you age 55 or older and looking for an opportunity to meet new people, enjoy fellowship, and spend some time in good company?

First Congregational Church of West Haven invites you to join us for the first gathering of O.A.S.I.S. Senior Fellowship this Saturday, September 12 at 3:00 PM.

O.A.S.I.S. is open to everyone in our community — you do not need to be a member of our church to attend. Whether you come on your own or bring a friend, we would love to welcome you!

We are very excited to welcome the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter back to First Congregational Church of West Haven for our SECOND Alzheimer’s education program!

Following the wonderful response to our first Alzheimer’s program in June, we are especially excited to offer this next program because the topic — Building Brain-Healthy Habits — is something that can benefit all of us, at every age.💜

We are also very happy to once again be working in collaboration with the West Haven Health Department and the The West Haven Senior Center & Elderly Services Department, Shoreline Wellness Center & Behavioral Health Clinic, and others to bring this important educational opportunity & resources to our community. 💜

Research shows there are everyday habits we can build today that may help protect our memory and thinking as we get older.

During this FREE program, we will learn about:

What a beautiful and meaningful moment during worship today. ❤️🙏

As our children prepare to head back to school tomorrow, Pastor gathered them together and prayed over them — asking God to watch over them, guide their steps, give them wisdom and confidence, surround them with good friends and caring teachers, and keep them safe throughout the year ahead.

There is something so powerful about sending our children into a new school year knowing that their church family is praying for them. May they remember that wherever they go — into a new classroom, a new grade, or a new challenge — God goes with them. ✝️📚🍎
