Haven of Rest Baptist Church We are founded upon three important principles repeated continuously throughout the Bible: Discipleship, Worship, and Service.

Haven of Rest Baptist Church was founded in March 1999 by Pastor Wayne Goodall and his wife Linda in the heart of West Haven, Connecticut. By God's wonderful grace it has since grown to be a vibrant, young church with members from all over the world - China, Nigeria, South America, and more - bringing a diversity of culture and fellowship in worshipping our amazing God. The church is founded upon

three important principles:

Discipleship
A love for God and His Word form the heart of a prosperous Christian walk. At its core, a "disciple" is one who learns. At Haven of Rest, we encourage discipleship and constant spiritual growth through one-on-one discipleship for new believers, Bible studies tailored for children, teens, college students, and adults alike, and the preaching of the Word of God. Worship
When we serve as mighty a God as we do, worship must be an integral part of our daily life. Through prayer, singing, personal Bible devotions, and testimonies, we seek to bring God the glory due His name both privately and corporately as a church. Service
Even a brief glance at the life of Jesus Christ will find that service was at the heart of his earthly ministry. He came to minister to the physical as well as the spiritual needs of a lost people. At Haven of Rest, outreach to our community and abroad is a one of our most important tenants. We seek not only to help each other within the church, but just as much those without it. Our community outreaches provide us the opportunity to share the love of God while meeting new people throughout our area.

The Memorial Day Outreach Parade tomorrow has been moved to a new time at 1:00 PM. We will be starting at 11:45 AM to help with the balloons and passiing out tracts at church. Please join us! Please park on a side street. See you all then!
