It was so meaningful for our SULAM learners last Tuesday to witness Rabbi Moshe carefully repairing and working on the Torah in the Beth El Library. In a Torah scroll, every single letter matters. If even one letter is missing or damaged, the scroll is not complete. What a beautiful reminder for our learners that each of them matters, too. Every SULAM learner brings something unique and essential to our community. Just as every letter has its place in Torah, every learner has their place in SULAM! We had a great time reconnecting and learning at our first day of SULAM last Sunday! Thank you, educators and teaching assistants, for making the learning relevant and meaningful. We also really appreciated the fantastic attendance at our Back to Beth El Block Party as well. Great job to all the committees and volunteers who made the program such a success.

Our Hebrew Language Learning Lab begins today from 4:30–6:15 PM at Beth El for 3rd–6th graders. Learners build Hebrew skills, explore the how and why of prayer, strengthen Jewish identity, enjoy a snack, and help lead minyan at 5:30 PM. A great way to build confidence, community, and a strong foundation. Happy learning!

It was wonderful to learn with the SULAM educators and teaching assistants last Sunday! We worked together on effective classroom strategies to maximize student achievement, growth, engagement and connection. We are ready for a meaningful year of learning together at SULAM, starting this Sunday at 9AM at Beth El!

We’re also excited for our Back to Beth El Block Party this Friday at 5PM, complete with a bouncy house and popcorn, followed by Shabbat Under the Stars. We hope to see you there!

Help us spread the word about SULAM! Everyone can be an ambassador and help invite new families into our wonderful learning community.

It was great to see so many Beth El members at the Yard Goats game on Sunday! Thank you to Men’s Club for a fun day out, and to the Jewish Federation for a wonderful Jewish Heritage Day at the ballpark. The Goats may not have gotten the win, but it was a beautiful day of community and Jewish pride. We were all winners!

Wonderful to visit our 16 Beth El campers at Ramah yesterday. Thank you to Ramah Palmer for the warm hospitality and wonderful tour. Being back at Ramah truly felt like our home away from home. Wishing all of our campers and staff a happy, meaningful, and joyful summer. Shabbat Shalom!

Great to lead Splish, Splash, Shabbat today at the JCC pool! Thank you to Susan and PJ Library for the warm welcome and for bringing everyone together for such a joyful program.
