Thank you so much for your prayers while Mark Crisp and I were in Ecuador. It was a time of great ministry.
We taught church leaders in Rio Benito Wednesday through Saturday. Mark taught on the call, qualifications and function of deacons. I taught on 1 Timothy 3:1-7 for two days and then on Fellowship (not getting together to eat) for two days. The participants in all sessions were receptive to the teaching and each lesson was followed with much discussion. There were over 20 in attendance. Each attendee was given either a Bible, a book or some other gift they could use in ministry.


Saturday and Sunday night’s I preached in the church at Rio Benito. Dr. Manuel, our interpreter preached to the men on Sunday morning. We also passed out over 200 Gospel tracts.

We took a total of 30 Spanish study Bibles and I’m not sure how many books in Spanish. We also took two wheelchairs that the ladies of our church were able to get for us.

It is both encouraging and humbling to see how God is working amongst the people of Ecuador. Even though they are very poor and have to work extremely hard to survive, their thirst for the Gospel causes them to come together for preaching and teaching. Please pray for them. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they take the gospel to their people. Also, please pray for the people of Venezuela. We saw many Venezuelans walking through Ecuador on their way to Peru. Please ask God to show the churches in Ecuador how to minister to them.

I had a wonderful time of ministry in Rio Bonito, Ecuador training church leaders. The meetings were well attended and the teaching was well received.
