Dear Friends of the Lithuanian Cemetery:

Once again, spring is here and we are asking for donations to help maintain the Lithuanian Cemetery. We rely solely on private donations to accomplish our mission. We have budgeted $4,225 for mowing and w**d eating this year, which is $325 per mowing. We also have additional expenses every year, such as driveway maintenance, w**d control, grave preservation, and debris removal. These additional expenses vary every year, but we must try to budget for them in our annual budget.

We are happy to report that in 2023 we completed a grave mapping project with Lazarus Cemetery Mapping. They have completed a full survey of the cemetery. On the website you can look up gravesites, including photos, and get exact GPS coordinates to them. You can also check plot availability and see other pictures of the cemetery. If you see anything that needs corrected or have any issues with the website, please reach out to us. This website can be found at https://www.cemify.com/cem/lithuanian.

In 2024 we are pursuing a project to restore many gravestones that are in need of maintenance. This will be an incredible expense to the Association, but we feel it is the right thing to do to honor our ancestors.

The trustees and I are happy to donate our time and services to oversee the upkeep of the cemetery and can continue to do so as long as funds are made available by donations. All of your past support is greatly appreciated. We hope that you will again consider giving generously to this worthy association to allow our dedicated team to continue their work maintaining our cemetery to honor and respect our deceased family members and friends. 100% of all donations go to upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. No trustees are compensated in any fashion.

Please make your donations to LITHUANIAN CEMETERY ASSOCIATION OF WEST FRANKFORT, IL and mail them to ANDREA JENT, 801 W. LINDELL, WEST FRANKFORT, IL 62896.

We also have an online payment option through GoFundMe using the following link: https://gofund.me/a9a9239f

Also, please follow our page at: https://www.facebook.com/lithuaniancemetery/

In addition, if you have any friends or family you think would be willing to donate to the upkeep of our cemetery, please forward this letter to them or contact us with their information so that we may reach out to them.

If you have further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Andrea James Jent

Dear Friends of the Lithuanian Cemetery:

Once again, spring is here and we are asking for donations to help maintain the Lithuanian Cemetery. We rely solely on private donations to accomplish our mission.

We have budgeted $3,720 for mowing and w**d eating this year, which is $310 per mowing. We also have additional expenses every year, such as driveway maintenance, w**d control, grave preservation, and debris removal. These additional expenses vary every year, but we must try to budget for them in our annual budget.

This year we are planning a cemetery mapping project. All historical cemetery records were lost in a fire many years ago; so we are undertaking this project so that we can have accurate and up-to-date records of gravesites. Once this project is completed, we will provide you with a website where you can see this information and pictures of the cemetery and gravestones. The cost for this project is high, but we feel that its value to the cemetery and to families of those buried there is immeasurable.

We have also created a page so we can keep you updated and post pictures of the cemetery. This also provides you with another way to keep in contact with us. You can find uson Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/lithuaniancemetery/

Please make your donations to LITHUANIAN CEMETERY ASSOCIATION OF WESTFRANKFORT, IL and mail them to ANDREA JENT, 801 W. LINDELL, WEST FRANKFORT, IL 62896.

We also have an online payment option through GoFundMe using the following link: https://gofund.me/42c69cb0

In addition, if you have any friends or family you think would be willing to donate to the upkeep of our cemetery, please forward this letter to them or contact us with their information so that we may reach out to them.

If you have further questions or comments, please feel free to call or text me at(618) 889-7185.
