TONIGHT AT 5:00!

Last night, well over 150 believers joined us , which is much more than our small church building could contain.

But the campground sanctuary is HUGE and there is plenty of room for more tonight.

Many different pastors, leaders and believers from many different churches joined us in worship,prayer and hearing the word of God which challenged us to come together in unity for one purpose-- His!

This weekend is the Company of Believers gathering here in West Frankfort. Due to the number of people coming, the location was moved to the SI Church of God Campground ( right on Rt.149).

We've been a part of these yearly COB gatherings in Alabama for many years. Each time, we've met so many amazing brothers and sisters in Christ. We've been encouraged in our faith ,stretched, challenged, and educated . We've met believers from many different countries, ministries, and walks of life and always learn something from them as we see the Lord working in their lives.

The unity among us as we pray together, worship together, and hear preaching from the scriptures together, always leaves us stronger and more focused and ready to do what the Lord desires in and through each of us. It is exciting and encouraging to see and hear testimony of what God is doing in the land-- here and abroad, through the young and old.

Our styles of worship may be a little different as many who come are from different backgrounds, countries, and/or denominations, but we always find that common ground , which is our love for Jesus , and the desire to allow the Lord to transform our lives, as we learn to lay them down for Him, and to share the gospel, the Good news of His salvation, that is offered to those who believe and are willing to follow Him and begin a new life in Him.

We want to see the Spirit of the living God break through the walls and strongholds that have kept so many in our area bound. This weekend, we are coming together to seek His face, worship Him together and receive all He has for us. We are relying on His Spirit to do what we can't do on our own. We need Him and we need each other.

There is hope for those living in West Frankfort, and this region .

We believe.

Join this Company of Believers this weekend. We will meet at the SI Church of God campground sanctuary for two nights:

Friday --6:30 (doors open at 5:30)
Saturday --5:00 ( doors open at 4:00)

~We will not be at the church building during the regular DAYTIME hours this week as we prepare for a large gathering this weekend, for THE COMPANY OF BELIEVERS. Sorry for any inconvenience.

~We WILL still have our Tuesday Night Discipleship Class at 5:30, and our weekly Wednesday Night Bible Study at 6:00 at Soul's Harbor.

******Due to the large number planning to attend the Company of Believers meeting on Friday and Saturday nights, WE'VE CHANGED THE LOCATION TO THE SANCTUARY OF THE SOUTHERN ILLINOIS CHURCH OF GOD CAMPGROUND, 10735 Hwy. 149, West Frankfort, Il.

~FRIDAY NIGHT SERVICE will begin at 6:30 (doors open at 5:30)
SATURDAY NIGHT SERVICE will begin at 5:00 (doors open at 4:00).

Sunday Morning service will be held at Soul's Harbor at 10:30.

This weekend is a time for Christian believers from many different churches to gather together to worship, pray, be challenged, encouraged and instructed by His Word. We pray that His Spirit moves on each of us in such a way that we will all be empowered to boldly live out our faith, sharing the gospel and the transforming power of Jesus Christ to those in our area.

There is hope for those living in so. Illinois. Let's pray for those in our region and be willing to be used by God to be a part of what He is doing here.

We remember the selfless men and women who laid down their lives serving our country.

FROM SHERRI:

My dad passed on this day two years ago. But this is not a day of mourning for me. I can see the fruit that has grown from the seeds he planted in souls many years ago. His life mattered and He was used by God for things to come even after his time on earth was finished.

This is Alans picture of Dad baptising him at Townmount Baptist Church . Alan was only 19 years old and had no idea how to walk a different way. But was ready My dad discipled him, teaching him from the scriptures and modeling for him what a new.life in Christ looks like.

It does not come without challenges, struggles, setbacks, discouragement and disappointment, but also was the beginning of a life long learning, maturing and growing in areas he thought he couldnt conquer. On His own, he couldnt. But what a difference is made the.more Jesus Christ is allowed to take the reigns.

The last picture is in the same building, almost 40 years later, and now known as Soul's Harbor House of Prayer. Alan is now the pastor, and he and i are serving the Lord's supper to him. We are the fruit of the seeds he planted in the kingdom of God. The man behind him who helped him come up to us, is Matt. A man Alan discipled, who now is spreading the same seed that was shared with him to others , and his reach is about to go around the globe.

This is the circle of life in the kingdom of God. It never ends. It is eternal. And it multiplies.

Today is a day of rejoicing-- for reminders like this.
This life is temporary. WE are eternal. Thank you, Jesus, for the way You made so we could have eternal LIFE
