Our mission is to rekindle hope in the hearts of at-risk teenage Romanian girls by providing transitional living that is a safe and secure, family-centered environment where they can learn to love and be loved, gain the skills of daily living and receive vocational training. The girls in the transitional living program can volunteer at a small horse ranch where involvement with the staff and horse

s will build a strong work ethic, self-confidence, problem solving, and emotional strength thereby assisting them to make positive lifestyle choices.

Because I was adopted as an infant, I understand what it would mean for the girls. So we had adoption certificates made and gave them to the girls. Many of them came to us originally so they could be part of a family. Hope you can hear the translation.

Because it is during the Olympics, thought I would bring up some pictures from the past. We have been watching the women's 3x3 Olympic basketball. Kathrine Plouffe plays for the Canadian team along with her twin sister Michelle. Kathrine is listed as the #1 3x3 player in the world. These are pictures of her making Easter eggs with our girls. She played one year for the women's team in Arad and was in our small group.

We are seeing the need to provide widows in Romania with food as a growing concern. Pensions are very small and many of the widows have to decide if they should buy their medicine or food. Please consider becoming the sponsor of a widow. You, your small group or church group could sponsor a widow for $75 per month. You would be doing what the Lord commanded by caring for a widow.
