West Covina Buddhist Temple West Covina Buddhist Temple is an organization in the Jodo Shinshu (or Shin) Buddhist tradition.

The temple offers weekly 10am Sunday Services and informal Buddhist study classes. Please check our temple calendar for schedule details (https://livingdharma.org/index.php/our-temple/calendar/). If you'd like to visit, note that we are located within (but not affiliated with) a local Japanese community center in West Covina. Services are in English and everyone is welcome; Buddhism teaches the oneness and interdependence of all life.

2026 Obon Festival
WCBT Obon Festival will be held on Saturday, June 27, from 3:00 - 9:00 pm. Children's game booths, shave ice, cold beer, and delicious food await you.
We hope you all can join us at the Obon Festival!

Manto-e Service: 6:00 pm
Kishin Daiko Performance: 6:30 pm
Bon Odori: 7:00 pm

Bon Odori dance practices will begin every Tuesday and Thursday in June at the ESGVJCC parking lot. The dates are June 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 26 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

This is a friendly reminder that WCBT will hold our annual Kiku Crafts and Food Fair on Sunday, November 2, from 10 am - 3:00 pm at East San Gabriel Valley Japanese Community Center, 1203 West Puente Ave, West Covina, California, 91790.

We will offer Asian-inspired crafts, clothing, jewelry, giftware, and original artwork to be purchased just in time for the holidays. And, of course, lots of delicious food to be consumed. Each vendor will be handling their own sales, and not all take credit cards, so come prepared. For more information about our vendors, please see the link below.
