Winter Weather Update | February 1

Due to winter weather and out of caution for travel conditions, River District Church will not gather in person or online this Sunday.

We encourage you to rest, stay safe, and spend time with the Lord wherever you are. Harrison will bring us a devotional in the morning on social media.

Due to the winter storm impacting our area, River District Church will not hold in-person or online services this Sunday.

The churchwide congregational vote has been postponed and will now take place on Sunday, February 1.

We are grateful that Pastor Brian Saxon will be preaching at River District Church beginning this Sunday through the end of May. We are confident that his faithful teaching and pastoral heart will be a great encouragement to RDC during this season.

Brian serves as the Shepherd Team Leader with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. He supervises all Convention personnel and strategies relating to pastoral leadership, care, networking, and development.

Brian served on co-vocational and full-time pastoral staff at churches in Greenwood and Belton, SC before becoming the Senior Pastor of Second Baptist Church Lancaster in 2007. Under his leadership the church has experienced a refreshing season of growth and health. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Lesley have two adult daughters, Andrea and Abigail.
