OBJECTIVE AND FUNDAMENTAL PURPOSE
The Brookland Baptist Church's College Ministry (BBCM) serves GOD and promotes the spirit of excellence, while seeking to provide a positive environment where students will excel academically, but most of all spiritually. The fundamental purpose of the BBCM is to provide a Christian Baptist Ministry for students though activities on and off area College campuses t
hroughout the year. The BBCM provides watch care under the Brookland Baptist Church, counseling (as requested with Reverend Nicky Wilson, Pastor; College Students and Young Adults and/or other ordained Ministers of the Brookland Baptist Church), networking, transportation, community service, and social fellowship with and beyond the Brookland Baptist Church family. The BBCM communicates with Undergraduate and postgraduate students that register with the Ministry at no cost and we serve GOD actively within the Youth and Teens Ministry(s) of Brookland Baptist Church, College/University Campuses and the Metropolitan Columbia Community. Traditional undergraduate students receive birthday cards, letters, direct telephone calls and/or emails throughout the academic year. Each month, the Ministry meets to discuss business, various topics of discussion and we strive to prepare care packages and/or envelopes for all traditional undergraduate students. SERVING
The BBCM serves College students by helping them to achieve academically with a superior scholastic success rate. More importantly, we serve GOD to establish ourselves as citizens of the Kingdom while growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior JESUS Christ. WORSHIP
The BBCM worships one GOD and his son Jesus Christ. We worship GOD with our mind, body and soul. We believe in worshiping GOD in spirit and in truth and walking in Holiness. We further embrace freedom in worship which helps lead believers in powerful praise and intimate worship of the Almighty. Scriptural Reference: Philippians 2:5, Romans 12 and John 4:23-24. WITNESSING
The BBCM believes in witnessing to family, friends, collegiate peers, and to those who may not know about the redeeming love and saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We allow our light to shine (Jesus Christ) in our daily walk, feeling, courtesy and speech. Scriptural Reference:
Psalms 107:2 and Matthew 5:14-16.
