Walking in His Shadow
Imagine living so close to Jesus that you walk in His shadow. When criticism comes your way, it passes right through to Him. When praise is directed at you, you immediately redirect it back to God. When blessings flow into your life, you recognize them as gifts from above. This is what the good life looks likeβnot a life free from challenges, but a life where Jesus absorbs the blows and receives the glory. It's a life where your identity is so secure in Christ that external circumstances don't define you. Your worth isn't determined by what others say about you, and your joy isn't dependent on your circumstances. This kind of life requires intentional closeness with Jesus, daily surrender, and constant awareness of His presence. It's a life of freedom because you're no longer carrying burdens that were never meant for you.
Bible Verse
"So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other." - John 13:34 (New Living Translation)
Reflection Question
How can you practically position yourself to walk closer to Jesus today, allowing Him to handle both the criticism and praise that comes your way?
Quote
This is a good life where I'm not taking no blows. God has already taken them for me through his son, Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Jesus, draw me so close to You that I live in Your shadow. Help me to let You handle life's pressures while I focus on loving others as You have loved me.
