ADVENT'S NARTHEX AND RESTROOM EXPANSION
PRESENTATION
After reviewing many options, the Narthex/Restroom Expansion Task Force is recommending a 1,000-square-foot expansion of our Narthex area, featuring large flex space with a kitchenette, additional meeting room, and two ADA-compliant restrooms. Office space and the copier room would be reconfigured. Our facility would appear much more welcoming from 352, and the hospitality in our Narthex could be enhanced. Plus, our preschool and restrooms would be safer.

The Church Council will review and hopefully approve sharing the presentation with the congregation and our ministry partners.

ADVENT MIGHT EXPAND ITS FACILITY!
NARTHEX AND RESTROOM EXPANSION
PRESENTATION BEING DEVELOPED
TO BE PRESENTED HERE IN LATE JUNE, IF APPROVED BY COUNCIL.

After reviewing many options, the Narthex/Restroom Expansion Task Force is recommending a 1,000-square-foot expansion of our Narthex area, featuring large flex space with a kitchenette, additional meeting room, and two ADA-compliant restrooms. Plus, our preschool and restrooms would be safer.

Travis Crum is working on architectural renderings for the team's presentation to the council. Council will be asked to approve presenting this visionary plan at our 6/28 congregational meeting.
If approved, the presentation will be posted on our website in advance of the meeting.

Feedback will then be received through July 30.
A final plan could be presented to the congregation in September, along with estimated project costs and potential next steps, including funding.

ADVENT IS HOSTING TWO EVENTS TO CELEBRATE OUR NATION'S 250TH. A 1776 STYLE WORSHIP SERVICES ON 6/28 AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET CLARA IN TIME OF WAR AUTHOR C.J. McGROARTY
Advent Lutheran Church's Community Book Club will host C.J. McGroarty on Tuesday, June 9th, from 11 AM to Noon to discuss her book. The author has noted a feeling that we need more women's stories about the American Revolution. We hear a great deal about our Founding Fathers and the plight of soldiers fighting in the field. But the role of women in holding the hearth and home together during this time of hardship and upheaval is underrepresented. Faced with the hardships of wartime, Clara Fletcher also confronts the choices she's made and the limits imposed on her as a woman. Having watched her husband ride off to war. She knew her life would change, but she never expected what would come next. The war has taken many things, but it has also brought hr something invaluable: a renewed sense of worth and a second chance at love. Advent is located on 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA, 19382.
