"I'm gorgeous, just because I am what I am!"

This past Sunday's Flower Service was a GORGEOUS success, reminding us that we are beautiful because we are not all the same. We hope you are feeling as in bloom as the flowers coming to life outside our doors.

This Sunday, May 10th, 2026, our 10 AM service will be "Every Kind of Flower" - Annual Flower Celebration with Rev. Dan Schatz. This is a hybrid service, both in-person in our Sanctuary, and live-streamed on our YouTube Channel (link below).

Come celebrate the beauty in diversity with a beloved Unitarian Universalist tradition in a very special all ages service! There will be story, song, and of course flowers! Please bring a flower with you to the service – any kind of flower is good – to be placed in arrangements and shared. There will be extra flowers for those who don’t have one.

For those joining us online, the full Order of Service with song lyrics will be found in the description on our YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/live/Qw_UBfi9qQ8

We hope this beginning leads to deeper relationships, not just between our two groups, but with the entire community. "Engage with us," indeed.

Earlier this month, we were pleased to host members of Lenni Lenapexkweyok Naxpankuntitam for a time of conversation and connection. We are so grateful to each and all of them for opening their hearts to our community.

The women are members of Lenni Lenapexkweyok, a group formed by Lenape matriarchs from throughout the diaspora. The event focused on fostering understanding and relationships.

DEEPER THAN THE SKIN joyful concert. All are welcome. Sponsored by the Racial Justice Ministry at UCWC

Saturday, April 25th, 5-7:30 pm- free valet parking from the Public Works yard; free pizza & salad; donations at the door gratefully accepted.

DEEPER THAN THE SKIN is an emotionally engaging musical presentation about history, race and friendship in America, powerfully delivered in song and story.

Inspired by the courageous journey and friendship of Reggie Harris and Greg Greenway, songwriters, storytellers and world travelers, this upbeat, interactive concert delivers an excellent opportunity for audiences of all backgrounds to open their hearts and minds to a new reality of possibility.

Born just 3 days apart...one Black, one White, one from the North, one from the South; these committed students of history and truth have forged a 35-year bond that has captivated audiences nationwide. Deeper than the Skin is not just entertainment – it is a mission to renew hope, justice and civility.

With creativity, humor and honesty, these skillful artists show that even in this time of challenge and division, the notion of a more perfect union remains not only possible but imperative to our survival as a country and world. http://deeperthantheskin.com/

A Musical Presentation on Race “This is Deeper Than the Skin” The presentation begins with a song… followed by another song… that moves into a poem and then… an invitation. This is not just another evening of talk.  This is not just a concert of songs that just entertain.  “Deeper Than...

Today we were honored to host members of Lenni Lenapexkweyok Naxpankuntitam, a group of women from the federally recognized Lenape nations, to our congregation for a lunch and conversation. It was a powerful experience getting to know these women (and a couple men as well), hearing their stories, and making friends. We hope this relationship will continue to grow in the coming years.

What fills your cup to keep working for justice?

A few weeks ago, our members of all ages came together in the spirit of justice making—creating signs for the No Kings Protest, writing postcards to our state legislators, and showing up with a purpose to stand for what they believe in. Just look at all these hands in action and smiles at work!

Reverend Dan is pictured delivering said postcards as well.
