EID FOOD DRIVE: Support Our Neighbors

As we enter the final blessed days of Ramadan, let’s turn our reflection into action. We are collecting donations to support the West Chester Food Cupboard and the 50,000+ neighbors in Chester County facing food insecurity.
How to Help:
Drop off non-perishable food or personal care items in the collection boxes at the Men’s and Women’s hall entrances at the Masjid.
Top Needs:

Food: Canned meat/fish, cereal, peanut butter, pasta, rice, beans.

Essentials: Soap, diapers (sizes 5 & 6), wipes, and feminine hygiene products.

Donate Online:
Visit www.isccpa.org and state "Food Drive" in the memo.

“And they give food, despite their love for it, to the poor, the orphan, and the captive, saying: ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah; we desire from you neither reward nor thanks.’”
(Qur’an 76:8–9)

May Allah accept your charity and efforts.

What a wonderful blessing it is to revive our cherished tradition of "Sharing Ramadan" this year. Breaking fast with our friends from all faiths and our dedicated county and state officials at the new community center was truly special. We are so grateful to have these amazing individuals in our lives, and for their unwavering support throughout the years.

A heartfelt thank you to PA State Representative Chris Pielli for presenting the ISCC with a citation; it means the world to us!

Here’s to many more joyful occasions and shared meals together Insha Allah!

We are deeply saddened by the horrific violence in Bondi, Australia, and we extend our heartfelt solidarity to our Jewish friends and to all those impacted by this tragedy. Acts of violence and terrorism are the actions of individuals, not faiths, and no religion should ever be judged by the crimes committed in its name.

Moments like these remind us that human choices, not religious identity, define moral responsibility. Just as wrongdoing cannot be attributed to an entire community, acts of courage and compassion also rise above labels.

The Qur’an teaches: “Whoever kills a soul unjustly it is as though they have killed all of humanity; and whoever saves a life it is as though they have saved all of humanity” (Qur’an 5:32). This principle affirms that the sanctity of life is central to Islam, as it is to all faith traditions.

We stand together in grief, in solidarity, and in our shared commitment to justice, dignity, and the protection of innocent life.

We had the pleasure of hosting an engaging workshop at ISCC on Sunday, featuring Dr. Farhad Syed, Clinical Psychologist, and Sister Unaiza Malik, Psychotherapist, from Khalil Center. This workshop focused on “Psychological Well-being & Character Development,” where participants explored tools for identifying their strengths and weaknesses, as well as actionable solutions to enhance their personal growth.

Khalil Center, a Zakat Foundation Project, is committed to improving the mental and spiritual health of our Muslim communities. Their approach emphasizes psychological reconstruction, behavioral reformation, and spiritual elevation, all rooted in Islamic principles.

During the workshop, attendees were encouraged to interact and share their experiences, making the session both friendly and informative. The insights and strategies shared will undoubtedly help us on our journey to personal growth and communal health, insha Allah!
