What if sadness isn’t a problem to solve, but a part of what makes us human?

This Sunday we began our Sacred Stories series by putting Pixar’s Inside Out in conversation with Psalm 42. Together, they remind us that faith isn’t about pretending we’re always happy. The psalmist cries, questions, grieves, and longs for God. In prayer, he discovers that God is present even in the depths.
