We still have our VBS Wrap Up Celebration Sunday morning at 10:45am. But this week of VBS is a wrap!!

Thank you to Ms Kelley for your directing, creativity and organizing of VBS. Thank you to all the volunteers who made sure everything was covered and running smoothly. Thank you to those who donated supplies, meals and prayed over this week. What an honor to serve alongside you all! Now go catch up on some rest and we will see you on Sunday!

VBS Night 4

“God is love. Wow God!”

Tonight is what it’s all about! The good news. The gospel message. It’s wonderful to know God is our creator, that He knows everything, and that He’s our safe place…but once we understand that not only does He love but He IS love? That His love is perfect and will never fail? That He loved us enough to send His one and only so Jesus to die for our sins? It makes the other parts of who God is so much more amazing!

Night 3 of VBS

“God is our safe place. Wow God!”

Oh how I love a VBS where I, as a grown up, come home feeling so blessed by the messages from each night and thankful for the amazing God we serve!

Tonight in Bible Adventures we learned the story of David finding a safe place to hide from King Saul (and even got to climb in the cave ourselves!). In Sticky Scriptures we looked up and learned more about a lament of David from Psalm 142:5. “Lord I cry out to you. You are my place of safety” while eating a delicious snack…the gummy bears found refuge in a tree! At activity time we played games trying to find a safe place out of from the reach of others and hiding under the shelter of the parachute. At Imagination Station we learned several ways that God so creatively and perfectly designed the rainforest and its creatures to make sure they survive and are safe. God takes care of them and God loves us even more so we can trust he’ll take care of us even when life around us feel scary. In canopy closing with our scripture and egg drop experiment we learned that while God doesn’t promises we won’t have hard times or heartbreak, He promises that He can and will be our refuge. He’s our safe place. Wow God!

Day 2

“God knows everything. Wow God!”

What another amazing night at Rainforest Falls! Tonight we learned that God knows everything. We dug into David’s Psalm 139:1 and just how well God knows us, explored the things Gods sees and knows about his amazing creation that we aren’t able to see while at Imagination Station, had fun playing games and remembering that while we don’t always know what’s happening God does, and enjoyed a tasty treat while looking up our verse in sticky scripture. How wonderful is it that when we are sad or lonely…God knows and loves us. When we have questions…God knows the answers. When we fall short and don’t feel we are enough…God knows and loves us still. WOW God! We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow!

Night 1 of VBS

“God is our creator. Wow God!”

We had a wonderful start to our adventure at Rainforest Falls learning about Gods nature-learning who God is! Tonight we met Dr Flit Flutterby, learned about creation from Genesis 1, looked at the amazingness of creation with experiments at Imagination Station, played games, and learned more about about how we can see God in creation and praise Him for it (with yummy snacks!) at Sticky Scriptures! What a fun night with almost 50 kiddos. Wow God!
