Join us for worship TOMORROW NIGHT AT 4:15pm!

With conditions deteriorating for Sunday morning we have decided to re-schedule our worship service for tomorrow. Here are a couple of notes for you: (1) This is a shorter, family-friendly service with a handful of favorite hymns, liturgy, and a sermon. We won’t have communion, toddlers or kids church. (2) It will be recorded and sent out on Sunday at our usual time, 10:30am.

On Sunday, we heard from our friend Tucker Else on Isaiah 2:1-5 and the hope of Christ’s return. “Just as Judah looked forward to the day their Messiah would come, so we look forward to His return. Stay faithful until God makes all things right…Whether soon or far from now, it’s imminent. So we wait, keeping our eyes on that hope.” Thank you, Tucker, for that timely reminder.

You see into the heart of a person from their final words, if they know their death is imminent. Jesus’ death was long and agonizing, although quicker than his Roman executioners expected. But over the course of his final hours we hear his final words…. Forgive, then for they don’t know what they are doing… today, you will be with me in paradise… Son, behold your mother; mom, behold your son…. I thirst…. My God, my God why have you forsaken me…. It is finished…. Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.
