On behalf of the much loved family ...

Gerald “Ralphie” Ralph

Gerald Ralph, affectionately known to his friends and family as “Ralphie,” passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 92. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and faith.

For 70 wonderful years, Ralphie shared his life with his beloved wife, Carol. Their marriage was at the heart of who he was, and the love they shared was a beautiful example of devotion, friendship, and a life lived together. Carol was not simply his wife—she was his partner, his companion, and the love of his life.

Ralphie was a devoted father to David, Amy, Beth, and Michael, and a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannie Oben, as well as several nieces and nephews. His family was one of his greatest joys, and the love he gave them will continue through the generations.

A man of deep faith, Ralphie especially cherished reading his Bible. His faith was not merely something he spoke about; it was reflected in the way he lived. He had what so many people recognized as a true servant’s heart. He was generous with both his time and his resources, always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or help someone in need. He gave freely and expected nothing in return.

Ralphie found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. He loved sports, walking, reading, woodworking, and spending time at his beloved campground. He was a man who could find satisfaction in working with his hands, enjoying the outdoors, cheering for his favorite teams, or simply being with the people he loved.

And then there was Ralphie’s humor. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of bringing laughter into the lives of those around him. His wit, warmth, and generous spirit made him someone people wanted to be around—and someone they will deeply miss.

Ralphie leaves behind not only his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces, and nephews, but also countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, faith, generosity, and laughter. His was a life measured not simply in years, but in the lives he served, the people he loved, and the memories he created.

He will be remembered with love, missed with great sadness, and celebrated with grateful hearts by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Amy Rudd shared with us that her Dad, Carol's husband of 70 years, and our dear friend, Gerald Ralph, went to be with Jesus early this morning.

She stated, "He was still having times of alertness yesterday. He was still thinking and praying for camp - he loved camp so much. His prayer was for unity, and that God would continue to use it to bring people to Him and that we would grow more like Jesus."

She continued, " ... he was never in pain ... God was so good, and we have felt His presence and love in so many little things. Thank you so much for your prayers for Dad and our family.

From Beverly Kipp today... "David went to the doctor today to follow up on the MRI for the infection in the bone. The infection is progressing and he has to have it amputated. He has pre-op on the 28th and surgery is scheduled for the 31st (next Friday). He is discouraged, but understands the necessity. ❤️

Let's call on our Father-Healer and ask in His powerful name, for Grace and Victory in Jesus' Name.

The Tuesday evening tornado risk is about as high as it gets locally. Rare language from the Storm Prediction Center for us, mentioning possibility for a “strong tornado or two,” which means EF2 strength or greater. EF2 is 111 to 135 mph. Bottom line, pay close attention.
