Praise the Lord!
God has specifically placed a need for educational support on my heart. I want to make sure that we accomplish a few things along the way. We want help to not hinder so we need specific direction as to what is needed most and direction with the intermediate and long term goals.
Immediately we would like to provide school supplies, per our conversations with Joe Veal , these were the items that he was unable to source there.
· Pencils
· Book bags
· Pencil pouches
· Pencil holders
· Pens
· Markers
The goal is to get all 120 orphans in Africa covered and sent back with Joe Veal in September. If need be we will cover the shipping of an addition suitcase.
We want to make sure that they have the necessary supplemental material to do well on their testing. It is imperative that the children be prepared to be successful long term in school. We believe that Christian students provided with an education, used by God can change the face of a nation.
Jerri had indicated that for $40 a month one orphan’s expenses can be covered. I would start off saying I can cover one for the next 12 months. If you feel in your heart to donate some of these items please get them to me soon or bring them to church. If you would like to sponsor a child in Africa please let me know and I’ll get you that information.
