When we pulled up to the scene of a house fire with people trapped, we had to make split-second decisions based on the conditions in front of us. If we were indecisive when making our plan of attack, it would put people's lives in jeopardy. But check this out:
As followers of Christ, we need to do our part and share the Gospel Message with those who are still trapped in the darkness of this fallen world. We can't sugarcoat it either. We need to follow the plan God has given us. If we are indecisive or too scared to tell people why they so desperately need to put their faith in Christ Jesus and what He did for us on the cross of Calvary, we aren't doing our job as Christians. Don't get me wrong, we don't do the saving, Jesus does- But we still have to do our part! This isn't my opinion nor is it an interpretation, it's a God-given fact.
And just to be clear— I am no better than any of you, but as a Fireman from a busy city, I have seen more unexpected deaths than you could imagine. I have witnessed way too many people take their final breaths and it saddens me to know that many of them are now eternally separated from God.
As I said, the choice is theirs to make, but keep reminding the people God puts in front of you that their time is limited and if they remain undecided, they will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Instead, they will be spending their eternity being punished in hell.
Lastly, if you want to see why I am so convicted to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, check out the story of my rescue in my first book, The Rescuer: One Firefighter's Story Of Courage, Darkness, And The Relentless Love That Saved Him.
