On Sunday, 6th Grade heard from Holocaust Survivor Mrs. Edith Maniker, who told us the story of her life. She was saved because her parents were able to get both her and her sister out of Germany via the Kindertransport (but not at the same time!). Most of these children were sent to foster homes in England, which often caused more trauma for them, but it was also life-saving. Many never saw their parents again.
