God intentionally designed us for connection with Him and with one another in ways that are rich, personal, and meaningful.

The example of the early church encourages us to share the hope of Jesus through building relationships with gentleness, and respect.

The Apostle Paul modeled this beautifully in the book of Acts. When he encountered people who were religious but did not yet believe in Christ, he first noticed them. He observed their culture, listened, and began the conversation on common ground—creating a bridge for relationship and an opportunity to share the Gospel.

We were reminded of what this can look like today as our sister in Christ, Christina Kilpatrick, shared how her own life has been blessed through faithful connection. She encouraged us to intentionally notice the people around us and look for simple opportunities to connect as we go about our everyday lives.

Sometimes sharing Jesus begins simply by noticing someone.

Over the next 7 weeks, we'll be exploring the 7 guiding principles that shape who we are as 7West Church.

This week, we kicked off the series by looking at our first guiding principle: FOLLOW.

Following others who are faithfully following Jesus is paramount to our ongoing sanctification. As we humble ourselves and allow our ego to take a back seat, God uses the influence, encouragement, correction, and example of fellow believers to shape us more into the image of Christ.

During service, Pastor Joe interviewed our faithful sister, Erin Brown, about her upcoming mission trip to Croatia, and her experience both as a leader and follower.

It's been such a sweet summer of serving our hometown of West Bloomfield!

We've loved partnering with our community by helping beautify West Bloomfield Middle School and West Bloomfield High School, as well as volunteering with parking, security, ticket sales, and the Kids Activity Tent during both the June and July Hot Works Fine Art and Craft Shows .

Serving our neighbors is part of the Jesus-led DNA of 7West Church. As we've poured into our community, we've been blessed beyond measure in return. You can see it in the smiles, there's a joy that only Jesus brings when we faithfully serve Him by serving others.

Orchard Lake's 23rd Annual 'Fine Art Show' sponsored by Hot Works, LLC Fine Art & Craft Shows.

🎨Our church is sponsoring the KIDS ACTIVITY TENT where kids can come work on some fun crafts and get their creativity flowing!

📣We'll also be hosting our WEEKLY CHURCH SERVICE on Sunday, July 26th from 8:00am - 9:00am right at the show's location!

In the 12th and final week of our "ENCOURAGEMENT" series, we explored God's design for work and productivity through 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10.

It may not always feel like it, but work and productivity are practices of holiness. They were designed by God, modeled by God, and ultimately perfected by God—for our good and for His glory.

So why does our work so often feel burdensome, frustrating, or even meaningless?

How can we reclaim God's original vision for work? How can we faithfully persevere when our work feels difficult or thankless? And how can our everyday labor become an act of worship that points others to Christ?

We are in Week 11 of our "Encouragement" series, examining the wayward tendencies of the early Christians in Thessalonica—tendencies we would be unwise to ignore, because they remain just as present in our own hearts today.

While its true that we are surrounded by endless distractions and drawn toward self-reliance by our sinful nature, there is also a very real spiritual enemy who is determined to thwart our mission and identity in Christ. He longs to distract us, discourage us, and deceive us into forgetting who we are and whose we are, because a believer who loses sight of their identity will often lose sight of their calling.
