West Parish Family School's 50th Anniversary Gala Silent Auction Highlight 🎨
🎨 New Silent Auction Highlight: Original Art by Poria Anat Malka
We are delighted to highlight a beautiful contribution from Poria Anat Malka, an Israeli artist based on Cape Cod.
Poria has exhibited her artwork in both Israel and the United States and maintains a permanent exhibit at the Poria Art Studio, 3284 Route 6A in Barnstable Village. In addition to creating and exhibiting her work, Poria teaches private drawing and mixed-media art lessons to both children and adults.
Her paintings explore places both real and imagined, inviting the viewer to experience a sense of movement and perspective—as though looking down upon the landscape from above. Poria describes her creative process as one rooted in freedom and flow. Working on canvas or wood without a preliminary plan or sketch, she uses vibrant color and imagery inspired by childhood landscapes, provincial characters, femininity, joy, and transformation.
In Poria’s own words:
“My paintings are of places both real and fantasy. The observer feels levitation and intuitive movement when viewing the paintings, as would a bird looking down from above. I use all colors...turning problematic topics into joyous ones, creating happiness in my works of art. I believe in freedom and flow.”
We are honored to feature Poria’s artwork as part of our gala auction and grateful to have the support of another talented member of our Cape Cod community.
