I would like to invite you the “farewell” concert of the master’s degree program in music and liturgy at Alverno College--this Sunday, August 4, at 4:00 pm in the college Chapel. This last concert is an opportunity for our faculty, students, and alumni to express our gratitude for the past five years at Alverno—and to look to the future with faith and hope. The concert is titled, “Your Morn Shall Rise,” taken from the hymn, "I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say." We are honored to acknowledge three significant milestones this year: the 150th anniversary of the founding of the School Sisters of St. Francis, the 100th year of the Alverno Music Department, and 75 years of music therapy education. A festive reception will follow in the Galleria of the Sr. Joel Read Center. We still have much to celebrate!
