Join us for our Holy Week services at First Lutheran!
🌅Our Easter Service will be at 10am on Sunday, April 5th.
✝️Good Friday Service will be at 7pm and use the Gospel of Matthew's story of Jesus' final night and day before the cross. It will feature special music, a map to follow the path of Jesus in the story and a time for prayer around the cross.
✝️Maundy Thursday Service this evening will be at First United Methodist Church of West Allis where we will have a meal and table worship at 6pm and a Tenebrae Service at 7pm.

Week 5 of Lent at FLC 2026: 40 Days of Prayer
Theme Verse “I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
March 19-25: After praying for our community last week, this week we will pray for the larger church in our synod and denomination.
Prayer Prompts: On Sundays we will participate in a prayer exchange with other members. On the other 6 days pray alone or with a friend. It may be hard to know where to start. We suggest simply beginning with “Today I pray for/today we pray for…” and one or more of the following prayer prompts, perhaps adding one prompt each day…
1) Bishop Paul Erickson of the Greater Milwaukee Synod 2) The Greater Milwaukee Synod Staff including Rev Afi and Rev Becky who have visited First recently 3) Our Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Presiding Bishop Yehiel Curry 4) The ministries and mission of Lutheran Disaster Response in the U.S. and around the world 5) ELCA World Hunger 6) The Women of the ELCA (WELCA) and Interim President Jennifer Hockenberry who visited First this fall

Last week we focused our Lenten daily prayers on the community of West Allis.
1) For the other ELCA congregations in West Allis: Mount Hope, Luther Memorial and Holy Trinity 2) For our neighboring ecumenical congregations: First Methodist, First Baptist and Apostles Presbyterian 3) for the leaders and residents of the City Center neighborhood 4) for employees of the city of West Allis government: representatives and staff, fire fighters, police officers, sanitation and other workers 5) for local small business owners, teachers, craftspeople, musicians, medical and service industry 6) for all workers, laborers, family care takers and others who live or work near our church.

Today we are praying for our mission partner https://eras.org and https://servingolderadults.org Please pray for those that serve older adults today! Our church has long been called to support seniors in offering them housing through helping form H.O.L.I.E., Interfaith and now supporting ERAS and SOA.

Eras Senior Network is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support Waukesha & Milwaukee County seniors in leading meaningful lives.
