Open letter to Mothers:
Dear mother, I know you woke up today exhausted, and most likely with a headache, some kind of back ache or something of the sort. Your body has been abused way longer than was expected. Somehow 9mons turned into a life time. You laugh or sneeze and now you’ve gotta p*e, among many other bodily complications. You carry not just the weight of your new born but now the weight of your adult child though it’s not on you directly it’s a constant weight that sits on your mind. Then begins the torment of am I raising my child right, am I doing this correct and you’re doing your best yet you keep on feeling stressed. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. You’re doing just fine, I promise.
I pray for you on this one day, that the Lord touches your heart and allows you to feel the love that he has for you, that motherhood is more than just giving birth, but a divine job and responsibility that is granted to you, that you realize that it’s a true blessing, but anything that is worth its weight in gold comes not easy. You may think that I am disregarding those of you who have not a child… you too can be a mother as well, you’re natural instincts to care for another whom isn’t even your own is what grafts you into motherhood, Birth mother, step mom, adopted mom, foster mother, all of the other titles, and even those whom have lost some during or after birth process. Know that God loves you and has a special place for you in his Heart.
Thought it may just be words written on a digital media platform, know that you’re one day a year does not go unnoticed, remember God has called us to honor thy mother, not just for one day, but all of them, however we can bring an extra special honor to you on this day. I pray the world gets to a place where your heart never aches. Your voice is heard without the need of complaint.
A very special and special I love you and thank you to all the moms who have been in my life, you are loved deeply within my heart. I wish I could spend the day with each of you and show you all the memories of us that I hold truly, how you’ve inspired me to become a better man to the woman around me. I do my best to extend that love and show them respect. I know I’m not perfect but you’ve all helped me get closer to it.
Much love and God bless ALL mothers in the world, if you feel like no one is thinking of you, at least know that someone in the world is thinking and appreciating you. Even if we’ve never met.
