🙏🏾 God,

May we come together and address the needs of the poor, the disadvantaged, the lonely and the forgotten not only here but around the world.

May we realize that our mere existence is a gift given to us from God, and that we must address our actions that are destroying our planet. May we remain true to our faith that the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends towards justice. Amen.

🙏🏾 God,

Help us to be the peace we hope to see in the world. Let our hearts and minds join with like-minded souls around the world to live out Jesus' mandate for nonviolent direct action with individuals, neighborhoods and nations.

Bless us with compassion, strength and courage for the days ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Last Friday, we had an awesome time at Junior Youth Group!

We spent the evening playing tug of war, water relay races, tic tac toe, freeze tag, making crafts, enjoying cupcakes and popsicles, hearing a great story and message from Pastor Mark, and so much more. The kids brought so much energy and excitement all night long!

More details on our next event will be coming soon!

It is with both sadness and faith that we share the news of George Rhen’s passing into the Church Triumphant. George W. Rhen, Jr., 84, of Sinking Spring, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband to Ida for nearly 61 years, he was a proud father, grandfather, and a respected professional engineer who never lost his passion for building and fixing. George will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of boating and biking, and his faithful service to St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC, cherishing his family—especially his grandchildren—above all else.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 7th, at St. John’s (Hain’s) UCC, 591 N. Church Road, Wernersville. A viewing will take place from 10:00–11:00 AM at the church prior to the service, with burial to follow in Hain’s Church Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Lamm & Witman Funeral Home.
