Someone else’s blessing does not diminish God’s goodness toward you.

We should be able to celebrate when someone else succeeds, receives an opportunity, experiences an answered prayer, or enters a season we’re still waiting for.

Comparison asks, “Why not me?” Love says, “I’m genuinely happy for you.”

You can read a passage a hundred times and still have more to learn.

That’s one of the beautiful things about Scripture. We never outgrow it. The same Word that taught us years ago continues to correct us, challenge us, encourage us, and reveal more of Christ to us today.

Never approach the Bible thinking, “I already know this.” Come ready to hear from God again.

Psalm 119:18
“Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.”

Never assume people already know what you appreciate about them.

If someone has encouraged you, tell them. If you see someone growing, acknowledge it. If you notice someone faithfully serving, thank them. If you admire something God is producing in someone’s life, say it out loud.

You never know how much a few sincere words might strengthen someone who needed them that day.

“Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.”

“Commit to a present reality where you daily engage with God as someone who cares for you.”

This week’s sermon was a much needed reminder on how to respond when our hearts are overwhelmed. 🙏 If you missed it, you can watch or listen anytime on our website, app, YouTube channel, or your favorite podcast platform!

Laughter is one of God’s good gifts.

There is a time to be serious, but there is also a time to laugh, enjoy the people God has placed around us, and simply have fun. A life lived with Jesus doesn’t have to be joyless or perpetually serious.

Enjoy the good moments. Laugh loudly. Have fun. And thank God for the gift of joy along the way.

Ecclesiastes 3:4
“A time to weep, And a time to laugh.”

Proverbs 17:22
“A merry heart does good, like medicine.”

Your interruptions may be someone else’s appointment.

Jesus was often interrupted. A blind man cried out from the roadside. A woman reached for Him in a crowd. Parents brought their children to Him. Yet Jesus consistently made time to see the person in front of Him.

Sometimes loving people well means allowing their needs to disrupt our plans. What feels like an interruption to us may be an opportunity God has placed directly in our path.

Philippians 2:4
“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

You don't have to hate God to miss Him completely.
