Helping Hands Food Ministry Love God, Love people...Serve BOTH! The hours shown are for specific days of the month. for USD 289 residents. We are truly blessed!

We are open the 1st Thursday of every month for USD 289 residents from 5:30-6:30p.m. The Rural Mobile Food Pantry is on the 3rd Friday of each month from 9 to 10am open to everyone in the surrounding area. Our open food distribution is the following 3rd Saturday morning from 10:30am to 12:30 pm. If you need food assistance, please let us know on here or by calling Colleen at 913-980-9455. If you w

ould like to volunteer or donate, please call Colleen. We have the best volunteer staff - no brag, just fact! We have loving and caring clients who help us help others.

I need your help! I lost all of my contacts in my group chat in Messenger. I stupidly slammed my phone in a car door, and it is toast. I had to replace it. And for some reason, my Messenger contacts did not come through when I switched over to the new phone. So if you are on my list for group texts for pantry days, please contact me. Send, a message or a Facebook chat, whatever, let me know your contact information so I can get a new group set up before the next pantry day. I appreciate your help in this. If you don't want to be in the pantry group chat you don't have to do anything. Please spread the word for me to people who don't do Facebook. Thanks everyone!

I was going to upload some pictures of some of the most generous people I know, but I have had some technical difficulties (operator error most likely) and I do apologize for that. I will probably have to get one of the kids in my family to show me how. It used to be so easy. Oh well.
I want the whole town, the whole county to know what took place here in Wellsville these past few weeks. First, in October, as they do every year, the FBLA students went trick or treating for cans for the pantry. They loaded us up with cans! Then, the middle schoolers and the high schoolers had a contest to see who could bring in the most food. And boy did they!!! They also collected a bunch of money for the pantry to buy Christmas hams! Not to be outdone, our Police and Fire departments collected 3 vehicles crammed full of donated foods! These groups are so generous! But do you want to know who is the best at giving? You!
These wonderful groups could not have been able to donate so much food to the pantry without you! This town is the best place to live! Every time you think it couldn't get any better, Wellsville shows up big time to help those in need. I love this town!!!! Hopefully I will get those pictures posted soon.

There's a rumor going around town that President Trump has shut down harvesters, and there wouldn't be any pantry tomorrow, but that's just not true. We will have the mobile food pantry tomorrow, just like we always do. That will be from 9 to 10, at the church 601 Locust. We will see you tomorrow as usual. Hey, don't worry, I would make an announcement if anything were to affect our pantry.

Do you want to know what your police force has been up to? Well I can tell you. They have been collecting food doing Cram the Cruiser and look at the results! They brought in a whole lot of good stuff for the Helping Hands food pantry! We thank you and the people of Wellsville from the bottom of our hearts. We really appreciate their efforts and we appreciate their service. Our police force is the best!
