Here is the outline of tomorrow's sermon, "Behind the Curtain". I hope it will help many to put into perspective the events that trouble our nation and our world these days. I will be presenting this message on here via Facebook live tomorrow at approximately 11:30 am eastern time.
Introduction:
History and current events can only be correctly viewed and understood through the lens of the Great Controversy between Christ and Satan, introduced in Genesis 3 and outlined in the twelfth chapter of Revelation. The Bible believing Christian who is also a student of its’ Prophecies, is enabled to trace the Hand of Providence overruling in the affairs of men and nations for the ultimate triumph of His Eternal Purpose to restore law and order in the Universe through the power of Truth and Love.
1.The Most High rules in the kingdoms of men. Daniel 4:25, 26, 32. Psalm 103:19
2. God is working out His purposes and plans with divine insight and foresight. Isa. 46:9-11; Jer. 29:11; Acts 17:24-27; Daniel 2:20-22; Rom. 11:33; Rom. 16:25-27.
3. Christ’s kingdom is not of this world; heaven is our home. While we recognize the need for earthly governments in a sinful world, Christ’s followers are not to fight, but to work and pray for the advancement of Christ’s spiritual kingdom of righteousness, in anticipation of the coming kingdom of glory in the New Earth. John 18:36; Dan. 2:44; Dan. 7:27; Hebrews 12:28; Hebrews 13:14; Matt. 6:8-10, 33; Matt. 24:14; Isa. 9:6,7; 2 Peter. 3:13.
4. Christians are called to respect and submit to the government insofar as it does not conflict with Biblical principles. This includes honoring and praying for those who govern, and paying taxes for the support of legitimate government functions. Dan. 3:17, 18; Rom. 13:1-7; Exodus 22:28; 1 Pet. 2:13-17; Matt. 22:21; Titus 3:1-4; 1 Tim. 2:1-8.

Friends, prayers are urgently needed as yet another fire is raging out of control. The fire, named “Glass Fire” broke out early this morning and is located in St. Helena, California. “Elmshaven,” Ellen White’s last home is right in the path of this fire and prayers are needed now to avert destruction of the structure and surroundings. Pacific Union College and the St. Helena Hospital area are being evacuated. Let us pray for everyone whose lives and homes are being threatened by this fire.
