Tomorrow (March 8) will have a Praise and worship song service at 9:30 am...don't forget to set your clocks ahead. We enjoy singing songs that lead to worship and focus on the King of Kings as we just completed our series on Psalm 103 where God is "Worthy of Praise". Next Sunday, we will begin our series in the study of James, a book of Practical Christian living.
On Easter Sunday, April 5th, we will have a different schedule as we celebrate Christ's Resurrection.
8:30 - SONrise service
9:15 - Easter Brunch
10:00 - Easter worship

We'd love to have you join us any week if you don't have a church home.

I always hate to cancel, but I think we have to believe this forecast. Even though we aren't gathering together, spend time worshiping the Lord and Praise Him for His GOODNESS!

We had a great year of blessings in 2025 and trust the Lord will give us more as we serve Him in '26. We are emphasizing PRAYER for this year and know that is our only weapon along with the Word of God.
Our upcoming message plans:
~January 18th - "Sanctity of Life" Sunday
~January 25th - February 15th - 4 part series from Psalm 103 titled "Worthy of Praise"
~Beginning February 22nd - sermon series in James (one of our favorite books to study)
~April 5th will be an Easter message and then back to James

Join us each week as we search God's Word to learn what He has to teach us. We are ALL students here learning together. We like to say "We are all patients in God's hospital at various stages of healing, but trusting the GREAT PHYSICIAN."

Our Christmas series this year has been about "THE GIFT". We've looked at
1 - The GIFT is "Shopped" for - Christ came to seek and save
2 - The GIFT is "Paid" for - Christ willingly paid for our sin
3 - The GIFT is "Wrapped" - in swaddling cloths and death cloths
4 - The GIFT is "Given" - John 3:16 says "God GAVE" His Son
5 - The GIFT is 'Received" - Salvation is FREE but you must take it
6 - This GIFT will "Return" - Come SOON, Lord, Jesus!!

We invite you to join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service at 5 pm and we will look at Part 4, the GIFT is "Given". We are so grateful for the Gift of salvation and pray for our nation and community that is in desperate need of Christ!!

I posted this yesterday and felt I should put it on our Church site. We prayed Wednesday night for our nation - our ONLY hope is turning to the Gospel message that Christ died in our place and the Gift of salvation is a Personal decision to receive a Personal Savior.

I wanted a few hours to reflect on what is happening in America. Today is the 24th anniversary of one of the most impactful days in our history, and everyone who was alive that sunny, Tuesday morning, knows where they were and what they were doing when the news of the attacks reached us.
I remember the temporary unity in Washington and among neighbors and strangers – but we realized America would never be the same. In our youth meeting the next night, our youth group met on Wednesday nights at North Baptist, I had a number of local churches call and ask if they could attend our meeting and just be with us when I addressed what happened the day before, from the Bible that night. There were tears, there was some fear and uncertainty, but we KNEW that God was STILL in control and STILL on His throne. God worked even in that tragedy.
Yesterday, I had some of the same feelings and thoughts, but I was also angry. I hate to admit as a Pastor, that it was not a “righteous anger”…I thought of revenge and how many on the other side politically were the ones who deserved the result that Charlie Kirk faced. I was wrong, but I DO KNOW that everyone NEEDS Christ. Charlie Kirk woke in heaven to see the face of the Savior he trusted for his salvation. After I confessed my sinful anger, I have tried to pray that those who are responsible for the evil in our world (Iryna Zarutska – the girl murdered in NC, Charlie Kirk and so much more hatred and wickedness) are only acting according to their nature…"The heart of man is desperately wicked" (Jeremiah 17:9)
PEOPLE NEED THE LORD!!
If you haven’t read “Our Daily Bread” this morning (September 11), the article had Lamentations 1:20-22 for the Scripture reading:
“Look, O Lord, for I am in distress; my stomach churns; my heart is wrung within me, because I have been very rebellious. In the street the sword bereaves; in the house it is like death.
21 “They heard my groaning, yet there is no one to comfort me. All my enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that you have done it. You have brought the day you announced; now let them be as I am.
22 “Let all their evildoing come before you, and deal with them as you have dealt with me because of all my transgressions; for my groans are many, and my heart is faint.”
**God is Good even in the midst of evil. He will WIN! I’m still learning this Truth as well. If you have any questions about what I shared or what Charlie Kirk promoted about his relationship with Christ: “Christ defeated death so you could live”, please contact me so we can discuss what Jesus did because of His love for YOU!!

A great Sunday at Draper Baptist today. We had our worship service this morning and a church picnic at 1 nd then we baptized five this afternoon at Hills Creek State Park. Always a blessing to see people follow the Lord and baptism as a public witness

We had a great Sunday as we looked at "The Church Still Works" and are very thankful that God is NOT through with His church today. We also had our local sheriff in during our Sunday School hour to share information with our congregation and our Safety and Security team. We hope to do CPR training, have AED and other necessary emergency kits in place soon. It's sad that this is the world we live in, but we want (and NEED) our people prepared for various emergencies as we trust the Lord for daily protection.
The sheriff did a great job, and he will be back 4-5 more times in the coming months. Our people really appreciated the information and look forward to the training.
