Dear friends,
The cemetery board members and the cemetery care taker have all talk and are in agreement that as soon as the community has recovered from taking care of damaged to their homes and the weather cools, we will start to clean up at the Cemetery.


This was the second damaging storm with in two months. This last storm has caused wide spread damage.
Please take caution if you walk the cemetery.

Some small things may be addressed sooner. And the mowing will still be done. We are talking about best way to remove the trees and fix any damaged stones.

Friend, as some of you know The Welling, Tailholt and Caney area was hit by a powerful wind storm on Monday the 17th.

It’s hard to decide all the damage that was done to that area. It has taken most of the week just to get power back to the homes and clear the roads.

I went to the Caney cemetery yesterday and I am saddened to say every tree in older side and in the parking area has damage. As far as I can tell the chapel doesn’t appear to have any damage.

There is some damage to the headstones. Some are simply moved from the base. Others are hard to tell because of the trees.

As soon as there is a plan in place I’ll post.
The clean up of the area and homes will take awhile.

If anyone is missing utensils from the cookout Sunday, let me know. I have a couple that I don’t remember being in the tote of items I bring each year.
