Local Black History Honors

Dr. Ervin V. Griffin Sr. was selected by the North Carolina Board of Community Colleges and began his tenure as the 4th president of Halifax Community College on December 1st, 2007. Furthermore he was also the first African American to be appointed of this prestigious position. Not only did Dr. Griffin bring impeccable credentials, he also brought a wealth of knowledge and community college experience. Even today he is still involved in many aspects of the college campus, enhancing enroll management and continuing the building of great partnerships both business and industrial. We shed light upon your dedication and mark you have placed within this community.

Good afternoon! This post is to inform all that we will not be having service tomorrow morning (2/1/2026). Please stay warm and as safe as possible. However, we do look forward to seeing you all next Sunday as we celebrate Love Sunday. Love you all with the love of the Lord, see you soon.

Good evening to all! This post is to inform that we will not be having Sunday service tomorrow due to the inclement weather that is approaching and/or has already approached most of the eastern coast. Stay safe, warm and most importantly indoors during this cold front. As pastor would say, we love you with the love of the Lord, looking forward to seeing you soon.

Weโ€™re Re-Imagining the 2026 E-4 Conference!

Out of an abundance of caution due to incoming weather, the E-4 Conference will move to a fully online, E-city campus format, beginning Friday, Jan. 23.

While we were looking forward to gathering in person, the safety of our attendees, speakers, volunteers, and community is our top priority. Be assured, this change will not reduce the impact of the weekend. We will utilize the resources God has blessed us with to Re-Imagine what His Kingdom looks like when we Design Systems & Strategies for Sustainable Impact.

Join us on our E-city campus for a wide-ranging weekend full of enrichment opportunities, praise and worship sessions and the preached Word!

Will you Re-Imagine the reach of the E-4 Conference with us? Remember our FRANCES model. Encourage your Friends, Relatives, Associates, Neighbors, Colleagues, Enemies and Strangers to register for the conference at wordtab.net/e4, as we dig into this weekend together!

Let's continue to embody our E-4 pillars -- Empower, Educate, Equip and Encourage!

Verse of the day
Luke 16:10-11 NIV
Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
