WOW! We had a grand “re-opening” of Bible Quizzing in Panama, and had the first tournament today. In the province of Panama, there were 10 Junior teams and 18 Senior teams! In two weeks, we will be traveling 4 hours to another province so they can have their first tournament.

It is so exciting to see children and young people memorizing the word of God!

We made it home!

Both the Peruvian and Panamanian borders have opened, and we were finally able to get to our apartment in Panama last Thursday. It was quite the journey, and we had to change our return ticket three times, but we finally made it.

Thank you for all of your prayers...they are greatly appreciated!

Please pray for Peru. In spite of 8-1/2 weeks of lockdown and quarantines, there have been over 15,000 new cases of the virus in the past 4 days. We are rapidly approaching 100,000 cases.

I went to get groceries today, and things have tightened even more. Masks are required to enter the store, along with a temperature check and wiping your shoes on a treated mat. There was a long line to enter, due to limitations on the number of people allowed inside.

Things are tightening further here in Peru. As of today (with no advance notice), curfew is from 4pm until 5am, and banks, pharmacies and grocery stores are now closing at 1:00pm. The governor in the department (state) we are in wants to bump it up to 3:00pm instead of 4:00pm, since there are so many people who are not in compliance (we comply). This is also affecting our pastors and saints, since most people are not allowed to work and there are no tithes coming in.

We are stuck in Peru. We came down to get our things out of storage and return to Panama, and have flights to return next week. It’s not happening now. All flights are grounded as of midnight tonight, and last night when I tried to change our flights to leave today, there were no more flights available.

It’s already starting to get crazy here. This is the line to enter the grocery store. For the next 15 days (AT LEAST!) traffic on the streets are now limited to going to the grocery store, pharmacy, doctor, bank, gas station or to care for a child, an elderly or disabled person. All restaurants, non-emergency stores, etc. are to remain closed until further notice. The National Guard is our to enforce traffic rules, and food riots have already begun.

Update on what has happened since we arrived:

On Feb. 16, Bro. Dominguez was invited to teach the Sunday School then preach the second session. The daughter of a trinitarian pastor was present, and had a question regarding Mat. 28:19. After receiving an explanation along with supporting scriptures, God gave her the revelation of the Name. She was baptized this past Sunday!

In that same service, God filled at least 12 with the Holy Ghost!

This past Sunday, Bro. Dominguez was invited to minister at a camp in Santiago. The Lord filled around 24 on Sunday, and another dozen or so on Monday morning.

As we have mentioned in past newsletters, the situation in Peru has been difficult and the spiritual battle intense. We were directed by Global Missions to depart from Peru for our safety. As a result, it is with mixed emotions we are informing you, our dear partners, friends and followers, that our appointment has been changed to Regional Evangelists for Central and South America and the Caribbean. While we are sad to be leaving Peru, we are also looking forward to what God will do in our new mission. We hope to visit Peru and minister there as God permits. We request your prayers for Peru and our new appointment.

We are thanking God for the 42 who received the Holy Ghost and 19 who were baptized this past weekend in the Amazon region!

I would like to encourage everyone to give as much as you can to Compassion Services International. CompassionServices.org Specify the donation is for the Peru Flooding. So far, we have at least 8 churches that are damaged and need new to have their roof repaired. A few saints have had their homes damaged and need bricks and cement. Now, we also have a major situation with both food and drinking water. Please pray, but also, please give!
