As followers of Jesus, we believe every person bears the image of God and is worthy of dignity, justice, and belonging. Juneteenth invites us to remember the past honestly, celebrate liberation joyfully, and continue the work of building a more just and compassionate world.

May we listen well, learn humbly, and participate in creating the beloved community God imagines for all people.
