An interesting article and an excellent reminder that we are called to serve, just as Jesus came to serve & sacrifice for us.

God has made us social people; we thrive in the context of relationships. So do many of those with dementia, who are often desperate for human companionship and an escape from loneliness.

CCW Expedition Kids has some good advice for all of us today. Being a caregiver to someone with dementia can be exhausting and overwhelming at times. In those times we can find strength and confidence to carry on in our relationship with the Lord!

Take some time to memorize this verse as a family. Take some time to memorize this verse as a family. Use it as a reminder to trust God with your friendships.

Guest speaker Connie Storms, (regional manager for the Alzheimer's Association) will be speaking on "Dementia Conversations"; overcoming barriers to the most difficult discussions that are needed throughout the journey of dementia. Topics include: Getting a diagnosis; How to talk to doctors and what questions to ask; Addressing when driving isn't safe; Legal and financial matters for care.
