We are followers of Jesus Christ living and sharing the love of God through faith and action, welcoming all. We seek to become disciples of Jesus Christ, trusting in God’s love and mercy, and relying on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us. Through worship, fellowship, and learning, we will care for and share with each other, seeking to remember that “doubt is not the opposite of faith, but an e
lement of faith.” This is a place where we celebrate our diversity of beliefs and wrestle with questions and, at the same time, seek to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, strength and our neighbor as ourselves. Join us! Worship Service is Sunday morning at 9:30. We welcome joyfully all who come, whether a seeker of faith or one returning to church. When you arrive, a greeter or welcomer will greet and guide you and your family. You are encouraged to provide contact information during the worship service, which enables us to provide a copy of our church newsletter and other useful information about our church. Entering the morning worship service, an usher will greet you, hand you an order of worship bulletin, and direct you to seating. Large print bulletins are available at both morning services. Hearing loops are available at the 9:30 service in the Sanctuary. Children are welcome at Webster Presbyterian Church! Nursery care for infants and toddlers is available during the 9:30 service. Older children should accompany you into worship. Children are a delight, and we are called to teach them as they learn and grow in their faith journey. After approximately 15 minutes, children and youth in Preschool – 12th Grade will be called forward for a children’s message and then be dismissed to their Church School class (September through June), or if desired, they may return to you. Singing and Music enhance our spiritual awareness during worship. You are encouraged to sing with us. When to stand is noted by an asterisk (*) in the bulletin, but it is not required. We sing both traditional hymns and contemporary praise music. On special occasions our liturgical dancers (Called 2 Dance) enrich our celebrations through interpretive dance and movement. Communion is celebrated monthly to provide a constant reminder of our Lord’s body broken and His blood shed for our sins. Everyone is welcome to participate, regardless of religious denomination or church membership, but participation is optional. The pastor will provide instructions at the appropriate time. The Offering is an act of worship and thanksgiving for Presbyterians. God has given us everything; therefore all we have belongs to God, and we are called to give back a portion. Visitors are not expected to give, but we who make Webster Presbyterian Church our home regularly pledge our time, talents, and financial resources. Fellowship is provided in the Narthex (the area outside the Sanctuary) between services. You are welcome to enjoy coffee, tea and conversation with other worshipers. Also, this is a good opportunity to visit the Welcome Center to gather information or answers to your questions. Adult Education is provided after the 9:30 service and throughout the week with small group and Bible study opportunities.
