Today, we honor St. Teresa of Calcutta!

Mother Teresa’s life was a testament to the power of humble service. While she became a global icon of charity, she never lost sight of the individual. She believed that we don’t need to perform "big" miracles to change the world; we only need to infuse our smallest daily tasks with the love of Christ.
⁣
In a world that often measures success by scale and speed, St. Teresa reminds us that holiness is found in the simple act of showing up for the person right in front of us. Let us ask for her intercession today, that we may find the great love needed to serve our neighbors.

In today's Gospel, Christ tells us that "the wedding guests cannot fast while the bridegroom is with them." Just as we regularly celebrate feasts throughout the Church year, it's important to recognize that fasting is part of our regular practice—not just during Lent, but often. There is the old custom to some fasting each Friday of the year.
