San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse

Courtesy forward from Texans Standing Tall.

Texans Standing Tall is currently looking for youth throughout Texas for our first Youth Advisory Council. Please share this information with colleagues and any youth you believe would make good candidates for the YAC.

The YAC will be composed of high school and college students from across the State of Texas who are passionate about reducing underage alcohol and other drug use. We are seeking youth between the ages of 16 and 20 who are:

· enthusiastic about leading peers and adults in making alcohol and other drugs irrelevant in the lives of youth;

· excited about driving social and civic change both in their communities and statewide;

· active leaders in social, community, academic, or other contexts; and

· motivated to learn new skills and how to be a civically engaged community member.

Apply online:
The online YAC Application and Agreement is available at surveymonkey.com/s/TST-YAC-apply.
• Applications are due January 22. We recommend that applications be submitted as soon as possible because there are a limited number of council member spots available and we will be reviewing applications (and selecting YAC members) as we receive them.

Please feel free to call or email me at 512-442-7501 or [email protected]. We're looking forward to working with the Youth Advisory Council very soon.

Many thanks,
Emily
