Praise God for safety in the recent blizzard. Praise Him for the beauty of His creation. Take time to sit and see the beauty in the snow and the world around you. Look and see the fingerprints of God on all that surrounds you, even in the midst of the storm. Stop and realize the wonder of God's salvation. He tells us that when we receive His Son as our Savior that our sins though they are scarlet will be made white as snow. Let this be a sign to those who have not yet asked Jesus to be their Savior to do so now because the time is drawing near, things are ramping up and Jesus could return any moment. As you look out at the snow may you come to know how much God loves you and let this be the day you choose to have your sins washed white as snow before it is too late.

Always remember, the Lord is constantly teaching you, patiently demonstrating His love and wisdom to you through every event and detail of your life. You may be amazed by how much more you are able to understand about the world around you as you grow in your knowledge of His ways. Therefore, seek the Father privately, humbly, sincerely, and obediently, for He loves and accepts you just as you are.
If we think of faith as a tapestry, prayer is the golden thread woven throughout, tying the design together. It is an essential aspect of the Christian life--something we're encouraged to do honestly, fervently, and earnestly, with a spirit of expectation and trust that the Lord will hear us.

"Hear my prayer, O Lord; Listen to my plea! Answer me because You are faithful and righteous." Psalm 143:1

"For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

God sent His Son as a gift to a world of humans held tightly in the grip of sin. Wrapped in the flesh of a newborn baby He came, to live as one of us and yet completely Deity. In Him was the only perfect human being. Sin did not have a hold on Him and Satan could not equal Him or tempt Him to surrender His holiness.
He could relate to us because He was one of us. He could love us in a way we could not completely comprehend because He was God. He saw us as we were, full of sin and yet He looked past that and set His face to the reason He came to our world.
He walked straight forward knowing that one day He would pay the price for sin, sin that wasn't even His but was ours. He did it because He loved us more than we can truly understand. He willingly allowed the leaders of that day to falsely accuse Him, Him, beat Him beyond recognition and cruelly crucify Him because that was the payment needed to pay for the sin of all of us. Not just a few special ones, but each and every one of the humans that inhabit this earth. Even those you may not deem as worthy. He loved us all and died for us all. He was the Savior for all mankind.
He was our gift from a loving God. A gift, not anything we have to earn but one we do have to accept. How do you accept this gift?
Admit you are a sinner, believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died in your place and ask Him to forgive you and to be your Savior. Open and accept the free gift of love God sent thousands of years ago because He loves you.
May this be the Christmas you accept God's gift of a Savior He sent to one and all. The one who was born in the City of David.
