Not every situation needs your involvement

“He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, Is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.”
Proverbs 26:17

Have you ever stepped into a situation because you genuinely wanted to help, only to realize afterward that you probably should have stayed out of it?

Sometimes our intentions are good. We want to defend someone, fix a problem, give advice, or make things right. But good intentions don’t always mean we’re supposed to get involved.

Proverbs gives us a pretty strong picture: grabbing a dog by the ears is a good way to get yourself bitten.

There are battles God may be asking us to pray about rather than participate in.
There are situations where wisdom means knowing when to speak and when to stay quiet.

Not every argument needs our opinion.
Not every conflict needs our involvement.
Not every problem is ours to fix.

Sometimes the wisest thing we can do is step back, pray, and let God handle what belongs to Him.

🗝️ Good intentions need wisdom, too.
