𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

This past Sunday we came together as a Multi-Generational Family Team on Mission to fellowship, worship, pray, and hear the Word. We kicked off the morning singing praises to our amazing God, reminding ourselves that with God, ANYTHING is possible!! We then spent a few moments in honor of National Foster Care Awareness month declaring life and the name of Jesus over every person involved in the Foster Care Community. What a powerful and beautiful gift it is to speak life and carry light everywhere we go!

After this time of prayer and worship, we invited Rita Bloomer with 111 Project and several individuals connected to the Foster Care Community to share with us. We heard powerful testimonies, shocking and relevant statistics, and many moving first-hand experiences. We also took part in an eye-opening simulation, putting ourselves in the shoes of those who enter the foster care system. Overall, the entire morning reminded us of the great needs right here in our own state, our own cities, our own communities. And it is our responsibility to meet those needs! The Word of God tells us multiple times that we are called to help those in need. We are the light of the world and together, we can shine that light into every dark, discouraged corner of the world!

As you go throughout your week, we encourage you to prayerfully consider how you can be a part of making a difference in this area. The need is great, but so is the opportunity for the Church to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Not everyone is called to foster, but everyone can do something. We can pray faithfully for children, families, and those serving within the foster care system. We can donate goods and services to help meet practical needs. We can become CarePortal Responders, helping provide resources, financial support, and encouragement when urgent needs arise. We can come alongside foster families by providing meals, offering babysitting, or simply being a source of support and friendship. We can invest in the next generation by becoming mentors and serving as big brothers and big sisters. And for some, God may be calling you to open your home and become a foster family. When each of us takes a step of obedience, no matter how small it may seem, we become part of something much bigger: a movement of God's people bringing hope, healing, and belonging to vulnerable children and families. Together, we can help ensure that every child knows they are seen, valued, loved, and never alone.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
“Father, we thank You for adopting us into Your loving family. We were once lost and lonely, but You sent Your Son to this earth to show us the way to You. And now we have the great privilege of sharing that hope, love, and light with others!! Whether it’s through prayer, financial support, community, or opening our homes, we know it is Your will for us to meet the needs of those around us, to stand up for the defenseless, to support the fatherless and oppressed, to be the light in the dark places of the world. We thank You for those who have already stepped up in the Foster Care Community. We continue to pray for the biological families, the foster families, the case and agency workers, the Foster Care organizations, the Judges and courts, and of course the precious children in Foster Care. Help us surround them all with love and support, pointing them ultimately to You! We pray all of this in Your name, Jesus. Amen!”

𝗛𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀,

Beginning this Monday, we have the incredible opportunity to serve families in our community through our Summer Meals Program at Bridging Hope in partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

Every Monday from June 1st through August 3rd, we will be distributing FREE meal boxes for children ages 1–18 right here at Bridging Hope from 5–7 PM. Each child receives a box containing 10 meals (5 breakfasts and 5 lunches), and we are expecting to serve many families throughout the summer.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 — 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽!

This outreach is more than handing out food. It is an opportunity to show the love of Jesus, serve our community with joy, and be the hands and feet of Christ to families who may be struggling this summer.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁

This past Sunday, we gathered as a Multi-Generational Family Team on Mission to fellowship, worship, pray, and hear the Word as we celebrated Pentecost Sunday and Memorial Day weekend together! We also spent the morning at the Clinton Veteran’s Center for our monthly service, loving on residents and employees and sharing hope and encouragement during Memorial Day weekend. What a privilege it is to carry the love, hope, and grace of Jesus everywhere we go!

Following this time of worship and prayer, Pastor Scott shared an encouraging message from Acts about Pentecost, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the mission Jesus gave His Church. Before sending His disciples to take the Gospel to all nations, Jesus instructed them to wait for the promised Holy Spirit who would empower them from on high (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:5). Pastor Scott explained how Pentecost, or Shavuot, celebrated the giving of God’s Law at Mount Sinai, making Acts 2 a powerful fulfillment of God’s promises. The supernatural sound, many languages, and fire of God’s presence revealed that God was empowering His people through both His Word and His Spirit to carry the Gospel to the nations. Unlike Sinai, where God’s presence remained distant, the Holy Spirit now dwells within every believer, empowering us to boldly live out our calling today.

Pastor Scott also reminded us that through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can recognize and break unhealthy cycles in our lives. Without intentionally partnering with God, we can remain stuck in patterns shaped by our past, circumstances, or choices. But Jesus came not just to help us cope with brokenness, but to redeem, restore, and lead us into a new way of living through His Kingdom. Through Jesus, we have been redeemed from the curse and empowered to walk in freedom, healing, restoration, truth, and boldness, not only for ourselves, but so we can share that hope and freedom with others as well!

As you go throughout your week, we encourage you to revisit Sunday’s message on Facebook or YouTube. Then, prayerfully spend time reflecting on the areas where God may be inviting you into greater freedom and deeper dependence on the Holy Spirit. Maybe there are cycles, fears, mindsets, or identities that need to be surrendered to Him. Through the Holy Spirit, we have access to truth, power, healing, wisdom, and transformation. We do not have to remain stuck in old patterns because Jesus has made a new way for us! As we walk in the freedom and power of the Spirit, we become bold witnesses who carry hope and truth everywhere we go, fulfilling our mission to make disciples of all nations.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
“Father, thank You for sending Jesus to redeem and restore us. Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who empowers us to walk in freedom and boldly carry the Gospel to the world around us. Help us to break unhealthy cycles and fully step into the life You have called us to live. Fill us afresh with Your presence and guide us through Your Word and Spirit each day. On this Memorial Day, we remember with deep gratitude the brave men and women who gave their lives so that we might enjoy these liberties. Their sacrifice truly reflects the love of Christ, who laid down His life so that we might be eternally free. Help us use our freedom wisely, to serve others, seek justice, and reflect Your light in a world longing for peace.

We ask that You comfort the families who have lost loved ones in service, and remind them that their sacrifice was not in vain. May we live each day with thankfulness and courage, honoring both their memory and Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

This past Sunday we came together as a Multi-Generational Family Team on Mission to fellowship, worship, pray, and hear the Word! We started the morning by fixing our eyes on God, declaring His praises. We know that He is good in every season and situation and we can rest in the truth that He is working all things together for our good as well! What an awesome God!!

After this time of prayer and worship, Kayla Page brought an encouraging word reminding us that following Jesus is not just a one-time decision but a daily lifestyle of surrender and obedience. Jesus calls us not only to believe in Him but to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and truly follow Him (Luke 9:23). Kayla focused on the reality that discipleship is built in the small, everyday decisions we make, or baby steps! The little moments of obedience - choosing prayer over distraction, kindness over offense, worship over worry, purity over compromise - are what strengthen and prepare us for the bigger battles of life. Big faithfulness is built through little obedience.

To help us remember the importance of consistent, daily baby steps, Kayla shared four points about discipleship:

As you go throughout your week, we encourage you to revisit Sunday’s message on Facebook or YouTube. Then, take time to prayerfully reflect on the small ways God may be calling you to grow as a disciple. Maybe it’s setting aside intentional time with Him each day, choosing forgiveness, serving others, or taking the next step into a one-on-one discipleship relationship. Following Jesus happens one daily “yes” at a time, and every small step of obedience matters. As we grow as disciples, we become people who carry the Gospel everywhere we go, helping fulfill our mission to make disciples and share Jesus with the world around us!

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸:
“Father, we thank You for the invitation to follow Jesus. Help us to keep growing and maturing as disciples one step at a time. Give us the strength to surrender daily and crucify the flesh, give us a new hunger for Jesus, growing in our love for Him daily, and open doors for us to pass it on, making disciples everywhere we go! We thank You that we don’t have to do these things in our own strength but that we can rely on the power of the Holy Spirit at work in us. We continue to give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus’ name, amen!”
