President Russell M. Nelson taught us to make Palm Sunday “truly holy by remembering, not just the palms that were waved to honor the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem, but by remembering the palms of His hands.”

President Nelson reminded us the Savior will never forget us since Jesus taught in Isaiah 49:16 that He has “graven thee upon the palms of my hands.”

Our leaders have invited us this Palm Sunday to consider the following question: “What can you do this week to joyfully welcome the Savior into your life?”

Head to easter.churchofjesuschrist.org for more Easter resources and a study plan to help you get the most out of Holy Week this year!

During this Easter season, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints celebrates the life, mission, sacrifice, and resurrection of the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ. He saved us from death and sin. Join us in finding how His life brings peace, hope, and comfort.

In Luke 22:27, Jesus declared: “I am among you as he that serveth.”

The LDS Waynesboro Stake hosted a blood drive in conjunction with the Red Cross earlier this month. It was inspiring to see members of the community give willingly as the Savior would.

Put our next blood drive on June 2 from 2 to 6 pm at the Airport Road building on your calendars! Address is 1275 Timberwood Blvd, Charlottesville.

Jesus Christ taught during his ministry: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you.”
(John 13:34)

Members of the former Harrisonburg 1st Ward and Rapidan Ward recently strove to meet this imperative. The Harrisonburg 1st Ward collaborated with the Interfaith Association of Harrisonburg to support unhoused members of the community. The Rapidan Ward collaborated with the Greene Alliance of Church/Community Efforts to help bring Christmas to Greene County residents.

We invite all of us to consider how we can love as Jesus loved during this Easter season.

Volunteer this Friday March 6th
Interested in growing food? The PVCC Community Garden has been in existence since 2007 and our mission is to grow healthy food to feed the hungry in our community - and have fun doing it. We are always looking for like minded volunteers to come join with helping and growing in the garden.

This Easter season, leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invite us to consider the extent of the love our Savior has for us.

In a new video, our leaders declare: “How did He get up again after collapsing under a burden so great He bled from every pore? How He did it is also why He did it. You. The joy that sustained Him in His suffering was His love for you. Through His compassion, no one is forgotten. Because of Him, you can experience the fullness of joy. This is greater love. This is Easter.”

This month we will share thoughts about Jesus Christ’s love for us and ways we can share His love with others.

As Mary Magdalene and her companions mournfully approached the Garden Tomb, two angels appeared to them and shared the clarion call of all Christianity:

"Why seek ye the living among the dead?"

"He is not here, but is risen" (Luke 24:5-6).

This Easter season we also joyfully testify of this same eternal truth—Jesus Christ is risen. He lives!

The Savior of the world was crucified and, on the third day, rose from the dead, "the firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:20). His Resurrection allows all to be resurrected, and through His grace, we can find peace "which passeth all understanding" (Philippians 4:7) and "be perfected in him" (Moroni 10:32).

We invite each of you during this Easter season to "seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written" (Ether 12:41). As you do so, we testify that your Easter celebrations can strengthen your own faith and testimony that "death is conquered; man is free. Christ has won the victory" ("He Is Risen!" Hymns, no. 199).
