Today, the Murphy Ebenezer Baptist Church family pauses with grateful hearts to celebrate a remarkable man of God. Deacon Howard, you are the very definition of strength, dignity, faith, and Godly character. You are a shining example of a strong Black man whose life reflects perseverance, integrity, humility, and an unwavering trust in God.

As a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, respected role model, and faithful servant of the Lord, you have demonstrated that a man’s true greatness is not measured by what he possesses, but by the lives he touches, the love he gives, the wisdom he shares, and the legacy he leaves behind. Your knowledge is a gift. Your wisdom is a blessing. Your strength is an inspiration. And your life is a testimony! Through eight decades, God has blessed you with experiences that cannot be taught in a classroom, wisdom that cannot be purchased, and a legacy that will continue to speak for generations to come. We honor you not simply for the years you have lived, but for the man you are, the example you have set, and the difference you continue to make every day. “The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.” — Proverbs 16:31 (KJV)
