Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your peace to settle over our families, our community, and every person who is hurting. Lord, there are things in this life that we simply cannot understand. In those moments, help us not to lean on our own understanding, but to lean into You. Give us comfort when there are no words, strength when the days feel too heavy, and faith when we cannot see the way forward. Wrap Your loving arms around those who are grieving. Give them a peace that surpasses all understanding and remind them that they do not walk through this valley alone. Bring our community together with compassion, grace, and love. Lord, where there are questions, give us peace. Where there is confusion, give us understanding. Where there is heartbreak, bring comfort. And through it all, help us trust that You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, we know Paul, Aria, and Grayson are safe with You. We pray for Joanie and Tylen to make full recoveries. We are so thankful we don’t have to face this alone for You are always with us.

Our church, families, and community are hurting. In times like these, we need one another and we need prayer. We invite everyone to come together today at 6:00 PM at WMS gymnasium for a time of community prayer for this family that is so dear to us. As we grieve and lift up the family, friends, students, and others affected, may we surround one another with love, strength, and prayer.

What a beautiful Sunday for Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church! Bro. Paul Mason had the honor of baptizing four children of God today. Ellie Jones, Lawsen Nelson, Sabrina Hicks, and Rayford Pope. Four souls buried their past, rose to walk in newness of life, and publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ. What a beautiful picture of being made new in Him! Heaven is rejoicing and so are we! We love our church family and sharing these moments together.

Back-to-School Prayer 🍎

Dear God,
Thank You for a brand-new school year.
Please be with us as we go back to school.
Help us to be brave when we’re nervous,
kind when someone needs a friend,
patient when things are hard,
and helpful whenever we can.
Bless our teachers and everyone who takes care of us at school. Help us listen, learn, and always do our best.
Keep us safe wherever we go, and remind us that we are never alone because You are always with us.
Help us shine Your light in our classrooms, on the playground, on the bus, and everywhere we go.
We love You, Jesus, and we’re thankful for another year to learn and grow.
