2024 is in the books! We started the transition totes in June of 2024 and were able to do 22 total totes! 10 totes were for ladies going home who had nothing left and were starting over. 9 women totes and yes 3 men’s totes for a total of 12 went to people going to rehab or half way houses! This program has been a blessing to so many. Thank you for everyone who has donated! Below are the items I use for the totes if you would like to donate any! Also we started a program to help with clothes for the ladies to wear home. Many ladies come in with clothes that no longer fit, were damaged or soiled upon arrest or which are no longer season appropriate (shorts in 30 degree weather). The ladies are all very appreciative that they have an outfit to wear home. Meeting the physical needs to meet the spiritual needs! Praying for continued success in 2025!

What I am currently working on is providing clothes for some of the inmates who are getting out soon. Some of these ladies have been in jail for months and may have come into the jail in shorts or their clothing no longer fits. I am suppling an outfit to put in property so they have it to leave. If anyone has some of these small bags or wants to grab me some I will need more. Thanks

Thank you to Leanna, Winnette, Tori, Angel, Karen, Lee Ann for the donations. Thank you June for getting the hover boards. I was able to purchase $350 worth of clothes and toys and $90 in PlayStation gift cards. Going to deliver this today and then see what else she needs to finish Christmas.

I have an inmate in my class who will be getting out soon. She has four young kids and I would love to help them have a good Christmas. She lives in Savannah, TN so I couldn’t nominate them for the Angel tree here and am unaware of what that county offers. I would like to provide some clothes and toys for each child since their mom will not have time or money to buy things once released. If anyone would like to help please let me know! Got a great deal at the dollar store by the fitness center. $2.73 for each shirt. I can definitely use these in my re-entry totes as the ladies often do not have any clothes to wear (not even clothes to wear when released). If anyone wants to grab some more they have a bunch left. I separated them by size if that helps 😂

Praise report!! A big thank you to Susan and the ladies of Waynesboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church! These ladies are a force to be reckoned with and go above and beyond with their generosity! Four complete totes and lots of extra stuff! What a blessing they are to the community ❤️🙏 (I included a list so you can see how much stuff it takes to complete a tote!)
