Situated in the scenic rural countryside of Augusta County (three miles north of downtown Waynesboro), Zion is a small-town, family-friendly church that is lively and welcoming! We worship every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. We utilize liturgy in our Sunday worship services. It provides a biblical, orderly structure that consists of four parts: Gathering, Word, Meal (Holy Communion), and Sending. As Christians, we confess Jesus Christ; we proclaim the good news that we are saved by grace; and we act in love on behalf of our neighbor. As Lutherans, we teach and preach these convictions in light of the cross. Our Lutheran theology is meaningful, hopeful, and distinctive. Because Jesus came into this world to bring us grace — because God so loved the world — we of all people are optimistic and hopeful for what God will do for the sake of the world.
