Philadelphus Presbyterian Church will have its annual homecoming on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Ben Griffith will bring the morning message.
Ben is the RUF (Reformed University Fellowship) campus minister at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he has been since 2023. Ben is from Hattiesburg, MS, and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2008. He is the son of Scott and the late Marian Griffith and the grandson of the late Paul and Ann Mary McRae Griffith of the Philadelphus community and Philadelphus Church members. Ben and his wife Rebecca have three children: Margaret (17), Owen (15), and Libby (12). Ben served on the pastoral staff of First Presbyterian Church of Hattiesburg from 2008 to 2019. From 2019 to 2023, he served as assistant pastor at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church in Franklin, TN.
After the service, we will have "dinner on the grounds" at the pavilion at Scotland Hall. A hymn singing will be in the sanctuary after lunch. Come join us.
