So most of you know I’m in the hospital due to Hattie May Hernia, she moved into my Temple a couple of years ago, and at first we couldn’t find her, she was slick and cunning, she wouldn’t make any payments and refused to leave the premises …. finally she was caught red-handed by a Mr I ……he referred me to Dr. General Renee Hilton, well, because of her vast wealth of knowledge and experience she formed a plan. For three months she commissioned me on a strict diet and set of steps I had to achieve daily, (except Sunday, a body has to rest) also many other strategic appointments to various other colleagues of Dr. General Renee Hilton. I was diligent, at times it was difficult and overwhelming and there were days of setbacks but I was determined to get my Temple back. Finally the day came for the Big Show-Down, target date Nov 2, we all converged at High Noon, code name: “Well Star” at MCG. Everyone was suited up for the Battlefield , was told I had the best outfit the south had to offer. I concur. I’m proud to say, we fought hard and Mattie May Hernia has been defeated!!! The outfit proudly placed the victory flag on top of my Temple! Yes, I’m a little beat up, cut up, and sore, but by my side, every step of the way, was my precious husband, Cesar Brooks and even now attending me in my recovery phase. There are many folks I wish to thank. First a special thank you’s for my family, co-workers at the cancer center, Facebook friends, and my very special friends for their well wishes and prayers, it meant more than you know. I could feel the presence of the Lord, either that or I’m on some high powered pain meds, I’m thinking it was both. Secondly, thank you’s go out to Dr. General Renee Hilton, her staff and dedicated team members at WELL STAR at MCG , these brave women and men carried out the mission with precision. They knew the assignment. I’m forever in your debt…literally. It’s going to take awhile for this Temple to heal and fully recover, all it takes is time and patience, not my strong suit, but I’m learning. In closing I would like to say….Always remember that your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, take care of It, love you all.
